Wednesday night: usually you're home making pies, prepping the stuffing, setting the tables and cleaning the house. Not me. I'm eating out at El Torito and enjoying a Mexican Caeser Salad and chips with salsa. Then it's home for a DVD and homemade sugar cookies. The belly's full and no stress.

We're waking up in the morning and walking the Turkey Trot. This is a 5K run in Dana Point Harbor. We must work off a few calories before eating all day. It gives me carte blanche to eat whatever I want the rest of the day. Afterwards, we'll head to the donut shop for "white stars" and then go home and watch the Dog Show. Don't ask me how this tradition started.

After snacking all day, we'll put on our shoes and have dinner at the Savannah Chop House. It's just delicious. Everyone gets their choice: turkey, prime rib or salmon. Does it get anymore untraditional than salmon? The side dishes are fabulous and we all head home for naps afterwards. Yummo!!

Thanksgiving night includes an excursion to the movies. Great memories of movies seen on Thanksgiving. It's the perfect day and sets me up for some great shopping on Friday. Black Friday...now that's my favorite holiday.
