The Lighter Side of Cambios

The Camina Conmigo blog has most of the pictures from our recent transfer.  This post is to document the lighter (and we think funnier) side of the cambio.  

We have plenty of opportunities for group photographs.  To make the events more fun we always try to take the chiste, or goofy, picture.  Here we are with the three sisters who left us on Monday.  They were ready to pose for the funny shot.  Pictured are Hermanas Young, Travez and Coppins.

Hermana Travez is very serious.  This was her craziest moment in the mission.  Leland was still taller than her when he was on his knees.

New missionary orientation.  This means lots of training to a group of sleepy missionaries.  The new missionaries are tired from traveling to the mission and the trainers are tired from being on buses all night to get to Antofagasta.  So I try to be visual in my presentation and demonstrate the correct way to wear the sunglasses given to each missionary.

Elders are always hungry and always ready to pose for pictures.  Elders Lopez, Edwards and Stringham.

Elder Grawe was trying his hand at tying the four-in-hand knot.  This is the knot Leland uses and many missionaries want to copy him.

Elder Grawe explained that he had no pictures with Leland or me.  So we took lots of pictures.  Can you tell Elder Grawe is a real fun guy?

He caught me before I could put my finger in his ear.  (I wouldn't really do that!!!)

We had lots of fun with our new missionaries this week.  They are all so awesome and anxious to do the work.  We will see them soon and make sure the mission life is going ok for them.
