The Last of the July Interviews

We've spent the week up north in Arica and Iquique doing interviews with the missionaries.  While Leland was busy with his interviews I spent the time with the missionaries.  Thanks to the many shutterbugs in each zone, we got plenty of pictures taken.

Posing with Elder Barnett

Leland and Elder Ramirez handing out the jello dessert.

Hermana Chen eating lunch with her companion, Hermana Warner.  This zone receives their lunch from the same cook.  This day they were eating spaghetti alfredo with ham.  And the sisters each had a small salad.

Lunch with Elder Hunsaker, Elder Zufelt and Elder Garrido.

Three missionaries waiting for lunch:  Elder Aparacio, Elder Arnold and Elder Rios.

Elder Aparacio wanted to know how to tie a knot like the President's.  So he got a first hand lesson from Presidente Bruce.

The Four-in-Hand Knot.  So Wall Street and don't forget the dimple.

Hermana Burk, Hermana Vineyard and Elder Jensen.

Elder Vera practicing his piano skills.

Missionaries in Arica:  Elder Teuquil, Hermana Ñique, Hermana Vilche, Hermana Burk, Hermana Fernandez, Hermana Canto and Elder Vergara.

Two Latin Hermanas:  Fernandez and Canto.

Elder Vera from Equador.

Elder Jensen, Elder Parra, Elder Vera and Elder Silva.

Hermana Montandon from North Las Vegas.

The Elders in Alto Hospicio were so excited to receive a new toilet seat.  Oh the little pleasures of life...
Elders Madariaga, Thomason, Mejia, and Bishop with Elder Edwards.

Elder Todd enjoyed mint chocolate dipped oreos after interviews.

Elders Santana and Zitting with their cookies.

Elder Zaracho from Resistencia, Argentina...where Trevor served.

I'm always popular when I have packages of cookies.  Notice the coat...the chapel was freezing.

Cookies for Elder Bishop

The Zone Mascot - he sat outside the building all day waiting for his missionaries.

Missionaries from Alto Hospicio:  Elder Rianni, Elder Mandujano, Elder Mamani and Elder Todd

Getting ready to leave Alto Hospicio.  Presidente Bruce saying goodbye to his missionaries:  Elder Ojeda, Elder Rianni, Elder Mandujano and Elder Zitting.

Elder Zaracho and Elder Thomason with their new items for the pension.  It was like Christmas for them.

Elder Perez received homemade Snickerdoodles for achieving Celestial 7 with his companion.

Next stop:  Iquique with Elder Wilkes and Elder Anderson.

Zone leaders in Iquique:  Elder Paez and Elder Acevedo.

The two Hermanas of Iquique with Elder Ramirez:  Hermana Portillo and Hermana Quintanilla.

Don't know why these last pictures got stuck together.  One final shot:  Elder Ramirez with Elder Tarpenning.

The interviews are over and we are back home preparing for Zone Conferences.  See you all in August our dear missionaries.
