What a Happy Birthday it Was

Yesterday was my birthday. I thought it was to be a day spent with Leland: he took the day off work and I took a day off from school. The plan was to meet Ashley and her girls at Strawberry Farms for breakfast. What a surprise was waiting for me. Ashley and Jillian had planned a surprise birthday breakfast party.

Here I am with the "ugly" cry as I walked into the restaurant.

Ava came running and greeted me for my party. What a great way to start the party.

Leland was charming as usual and greeted all my guests: Debbie Stapley, Dana Donahoo and Donna Hickman.  Thanks girls for coming.

Me and my cute mom.

Here are the party planners.  You two can keep a secret, that's for sure.  I just want to know what other secrets they may be keeping from me.  I'm so excited that Jillian flew in from Las Vegas for my birthday.

Ava ate pancakes with lots of syrup and then enjoyed my birthday sundae.  Never mind the scabs on her nose, she had a little accident while trick or treating.  She learned that running in heels never works.

All the gals who took time out to celebrate with me:  Robyn, Pam, Gayle and Jan.

Later in the evening the family, minus Dallas who had water polo practice, met up for dinner at Taleo: the best Mexican food around.  Here is Auntie Jilly with Shea Jillian.

I'm glad Christian could join us too.  I love my son-in-law.  He seriously is one of the kindest men I know.  How lucky Ashley is.

Three cute girls.  Don't mind Ava:  she'd had a long day of sugar and shopping and wasn't in the mood for pictures anymore.

My best friend and sweetheart.  Leland proposed on my birthday 27 years ago.  It's been a great life with you.

This was a great day and I felt so special from sun up to sun down.  And I didn't even stress out too much about my mid-term the next day.  I love my family and loved every minute of the day.
Thanks to everyone!!!
