Today was a glorious California Easter. The weather was perfect (80 degrees) and although I didn't enjoy having Easter in March, I loved celebrating with Ashley, Christian and Ava and Leland and Dallas. Yesterday I made what was entitled "Fluffy Yellow Cake" and the "Easiest Chocolate Frosting" for dessert today. It was a picture perfect cake but didn't live up to our expectations in the taste department. So I'm sticking with Betty Crocker next time. We ate lots of food, had an egg hunt with Ava and enjoyed the beautiful day. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday.

Isn't this a great looking cake. Too bad no one liked the texture. We ate 1/3 of it and threw the rest away. It was like a book: can't judge it by it's cover.

This was a day to use the dining room. I think it looked very much like Spring. And I love tulips.

Ava received a princess dress from the Easter Bunny. She loved it and kept twirling around the room and saying "Princess."

What a wonderful Easter! I had no idea Dallas was such a dancer! Good luck Dallas!
Your dining room table looked so beautiful!!! Glad you had such a nice day!
Tracy did a wonderful job making the house look amazing. I'll admit though, the cake was weak... Too bad too because she put soooo much time into it. I was tempted to eat the whole thing to make her feel better but then again, we have been married too long for that. Pick your spots...
I love the table! You are so talented. Bummer about the cake-don't you HATE that? It kind of makes you shy away from trying new recipes. Sometimes the tried and true are the best! You, Ashley, and Ava look so pretty!
What a beautiful table! Don't you just love spring. Ava is getting so big. She would fit right in at my house in her dress up. What a cutie!
