Trevor and Ashley on the day of Ashley's baptism. Both of them had the most kissable lips.
Here are some excerpts from Trevor's latest letter:
Dear Family:
So two weeks in El Campo and it's going great! Still really hot. Still really humid! But I'm loving every minute of it. So this last week, Elder Vincent worked a butt load. We found about 21 new investigators. And we have 3 baptism commitments. We are doing our best to reach out to the inactive members, and they say they will come, but nope! And it doesn't help when our Branch President works on Sunday, except for Sacrament, in which his wife works. I don't know what it is, but I'm doing by best to help them out.
So you are probably wondering how the language is coming. It's coming along pretty well! I'm understanding people a lot better and as far as speaking, well let's just say they can understand me. Ha Ha But speaking of speaking, Ha Ha, I gave a talk in Sacrament last Sunday and also taught the Primary. It was so awesome. The Ward members love talking to me cuz I have no idea what they're saying but I just smile and laugh and it seems to work pretty well. Ha Ha
Oh yeah, before I forget to tell you, they don't speak Spanish in Argentina. The MTC lied. They speak Castellano. (It's just like Spanish but they just have different ways of saying things.) For example, socks in Mexico is calcentines but here its medias. Who knew! But la idoma is coming along.
Let's see, this week I experienced my first rain storm. It was intense. But did that stop us, No! We actually found a lot of investigators that day. There was soooo much mud my black shoes aren't so black anymore. But it's all good.
So this week I decided to start the Book of Mormon over again and it's so amazing that you can read the same things again and again and still find new things. That's true with your Patriarchal Blessing too! Man so crazy! I have been reading my Patriarchal Blessing a lot lately too.
Well family, all is good here in Argentina! Hope everything is going good at home. Love you,
Elder Bruce
