Hey family,
So another week just flew by huh? And mom, don't be getting trunky on
me, mothers day isn't for another week and a half and they haven't
told us anything about it. But when I know, you'll know. And as for
the package, just send me the ring and maybe a few candies, I'm
supposed to receive no more than 2 packages a year and if you go over that, the
office with call you and tell you to stop. So like the fed ex one you
sent a while ago, just keep them like that. And if you would, pay the
extra bill, and get that thing here quick, I'm dying out here, I
don't receive anything ha-ha. No one loves me I guess. I write so many
letters, and I guess I know who my true friends are now haha. And about
the pictures, I meant, just email them to me, I can print them out here.
cuz the mail takes 3 months to get to me.
But anyways, Elder Melander and I had another great week. Our
investigators are doing really good. Last Sunday we had 6 people come to church!
It was awesome. A lot of them have received their answers and it's so
awesome teaching them. The other day we were teaching the family of 7
who have a baptism date and they were talking about how happy and
emotional they get when they read the Book of Mormon and go to church. and
then one stopped talking and she looked at me and said "Wait wait, I want
to know something, Elder Bruce, how are you so happy all the time?"
and then she turns to everyone and said "Haven't you guys ever
noticed how he always has that look on his face and you can see it in his
eyes that he is so happy about something?¨ And then she asked me ¨how are
you so happy, I want to know?¨ and I just said ¨because I have found
the truth, and for that reason I am here sharing this happiness with
you, so you can feel how I feel.¨ And it got silent... and they just sat
there amazed, and then thought for a sec, and they said "This is the
gospel of Jesus Christ, to have this happiness huh?¨ And I just smiled
and said Ah Ha.¨ Elder Mlander and I talked about that after and
we both said to each other ¨I almost started crying in there.¨ haha
and we started laughing and just said man the gospel is so true.
So that was a pretty neat experience.
Elder Melander and I are still getting along really well. We are basically best friends and have so much in
common. And also we teach really well really well together, We both have
our own talents and he and I just go good together haha. Last Sunday I
had to teach Sunday school and I was by myself, so if I got stuck I
didn't have a comp to look to for help haha, but it was a really good
lesson. I taught about the the church of Jesus Christ in the antiguos
tiempos (I don't know how to say it right in English) and I learned a
lot. Also lately I have been getting really organized with my studying. I
cant get enough of it. I have learned to LOVE to study. Not sure how
well that will carry on off the mission with school haha, but the gospel,
I hate when the time runs out haha. Lately I have been studying about
the attributes of Christ, and I was studying about faith, hope and
charity, and I have learned to apply the things that I learn to my
investigators so much more. These past months have seriously changed me more
than any other time in my life and I'm so grateful for that. Not only
have I changed spiritually but physically! Haha. You won't believe it, but
I got a belly. I'll send you a picture of it, and it is funny.
Remember when Dallas was a little kid and used to stick his belly out well
it's kind of like haha. I have been gaining some weight! Haha but like I
said last week, Elder Melander and I have been working out and we are
going to get huge haha.
But family, I know this was a really random email, but that's what's
going on. Hope Ava gets better and hows Ash, I saw the picture of her
last week and it looked like she had a belly! Kind of like me haha. Tell
Dallas that he is still slower than me in the water. He's gotta beat 100-
52.6 and the 50- 22.9! So Dal just do when Deb says, you can breathe
after the race haha. And as for dodgeball, don't let me down. Give
the team my love. Hit someone where it counts for me haha.
Well family I love you! Oh yeah and congrats Jilly! And Dad, I love you
like a son loves his father. Give me sports updates.

What an awesome letter that was! You must be so proud of Trevor and so happy that he is there right now. What a wonderful thing these missions are!

HA! Sorry. I didn't see that my first try at a message went through. I guess it did.
