Stress Management

The past three weeks I've been taking an online Stress Management course through Cal State Fullerton. I thought it would be an easy way to get three units out of the of way. What an understatement. The class was very stressful and although I learned (in theory) how to manage stress, I wasn't able to control it today while taking my final, which was an online multiple-choice test. Once you press the start key you have 90 minutes to complete the test.

I inadvertently hit a key that sent me back to the class menu and was locked out of the test. HELP!!! STRESS!! How was I to finish the test now? I couldn't think of any stress management tips that I was being tested on. I knew that I would probably pass the class without taking this final test but I didn't want a "D" on my records">I quickly emailed my instructor explaining my circumstances and then waited 10 minutes for her reply. Fortunately she unlocked my entrance to the exam and upon reentering the test I found out I had to start all over...and that it was a different version of the test. Oh Great!! Now I had to start looking up answers again in the book because of course I hadn't studied the 10 assigned chapters (which were given four days prior). Well, long story short, I got a "B" on the exam and a "B" in the class. Is it a coincidence that I got 41 points on all three exams?

Moral of the story...take the Stress Management class because it does help with stress issues. But don't take it online AND don't take this semester course in three weeks.

Hey, Sister Bruce/ Tracy. (I still can't bring myself to call my old leaders by their first names, even at 27. Sorry about that.) I found your blog through Emily (Manning) and thought I'd say 'hi'! That is awesome that you are finishing up your degree, maybe I should get around to that, too. ;)

My favorite part is "HELP!!! STRESS!!!"

I'm so glad you finished it. Now it's off to the real classes... and only two semesters left! You can do it!

Can't wait to see you in your cap 'n gown.
